Representative Hall and Lowey visit North Rockland to announce the 21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act
Michael Shilale, AIA, LEED and John Cirilli, AIA, LEED were invited as the district architects of North Rockland Central School District to a press conference this Monday. School officials, teachers, and the media gathered at Gerald Neary Elementary School to hear Congressman John Hall and Congresswoman Nita M. Lowey brief the district on the award they would receive as a result of the recently passed 21st Century Green High-Performing Public Schools Facilities Act.

These projects will include solar panels, LED lighting, and rainwater harvesting, to name a few. North Rockland has truly stepped up in their responsibility to educate - in fact, Monday’s press conference coincided with a day of teaching efficient energy methods to North Rockland teachers.
