We hope the design, residential imagery and enduring materials used in creating this project will imbue a sense of welcome, permanence and hope.
A short stroll from the Historic Dutch Gardens and some thirty feet above the scenic Demarest Kill lies the home of United Hospice of Rockland. Michael Shilale Architects, LLP were given the job to make an environment that not only facilitated a good work environment as well as a respectful and reassuring environment for meeting and counseling patients and their families.
A plaza in verdant green and a grand entrance will greet both visitors and staff; a space that will both welcome and inspire and is home to the Hospice Family Tree. With ample windows and ceiling height, the lobby space will capture the colors of the sky and the surrounding landscape.
