Commissioned by Rockland County Pride Center (RCPC) to evaluate the existing building for multi-purpose use to act as the headquarters for the RCPC.
Michael Shilale Architects, LLP (MSA) was asked to evaluate an existing building to serve as the headquarters for the Rockland County Pride Center.
The Rockland Pride Center’s goal is to serve as a headquarters for their mission and for their building to be flexible in design to support the many programs the RCPC is responsible for.
Some of the extra needs were to create a large meeting space, a clinic, offices, a pride cafe and an elevator to make the entire building accessible.
Programs like On-Site Counseling, Support groups for LGBTQ youth, parents, families, partners and veterans, clinic and testing, and education programs provide a valuable and priceless service to those who need them, and the RCPC’s headquarters will serve as a hub for all these programs and more.
