The concept was to capitalize on the synergies possible with an adjacent 8th and 9th grade public school campus.
National YMCA standards we adapted to this unique site. The proposed building included a child care module that would serve teachers working in the school district. There were to be two swimming pools, one recreational and one competitive.
A small gym in the existing portion would be supplemented by a full size gymnasium with supporting locker room and wellness module. The wellness module included training rooms, aerobic, dance and multi-purpose spaces.
