The goal of this project was to deliver fiber optic networks and needed electrical upgrades to every school in the district. Designing for multiple platforms and building in flexibility for future growth and changes in technology were some of the challenges MSA faced.

Breaking the project into two phases, detailed cost estimating , and comprehensive Contract Documentation allowed MSA to deliver this 2.5 million dollar construction project on time and under budget.

Interestingly the costs of the electrical improvements including centralized surge protection and line conditioning exceeding the cost of the technology infrastructure. In buildings of this vintage the electrical upgrades were long overdue, says Michael Shilale.
