Jesse Kaplan Pool and Classroom Addition

Michael Shilale Architects (MSA), created a master plan for the expansion of the Jesse Kaplan School back in 2008. After successfully completeling an innovative and cost saving addition of four classrooms to this building in 2011, we were selected to design another addition as well as a therapeutic pool facility.

NRCSD Energy Performance Contract II

Previously completing a 7 million dollar Energy Savings Performance Project, this new project would also be creatively financed. Costing taxpayers almost nothing, voters supported this referendum in the fall of 2013 by an over 4 to 1 margin. MSA also took advantage of the new NYSED protocols that allowed approval of this project in six weeks rather than six months.

Yonkers Public School 30 Phase II

For the second phase of Michael Shilale Architects, LLP (MSA)’s work on YPS School 30, the project will focus on a modular addition. The modular building method suggested will deliver a faster, lower cost solution to the Yonkers Public Schools. MSA’s expertise in both school construction and modular techniques were critical to their selection.

Pope John XXIII Middle School

Pope John XXII Middle School is the consolidation of several schools onto one campus. The modular building method delivered a faster, lower cost solution to the Diocese. Many changes and improvements to standard modular construction were adopted by the school. Most importantly were the recommendations by MSA for improvements in finishes, doors and hardware, lighting and HVAC systems.
