10/25/19: This year celebrated the 100thAnnual New York State School Boards Association’s Convention and Expo in Rochester, NY. From 1920 to 2019, the NYSSBA has provided school board members and educational leaders “information, training and advice on matters affecting school boards, and collaborates with other educational and related organizations to promote excellence in education for public school students.”x
This annual convention marked 100 years of Nyssba’s success at passing on information to schools and providing a space for schools, businesses, members and leaders to interact, learn, meet with clients (new and old), and gain experience to help our many school districts improve and thrive.

Michael Shilale Architects, LLP has participated as an exhibitor at NYSSBA conventions for over 10 years; At this year’s expo, we hoped to once again pass on our expertise and experience working with and for school districts. Working with clients on projects like Energy Performance Contracts, building new classrooms or even therapeutic pools, allows for us at MSA to take part and contribute to the environment that students learn and grow in.
As a way to contribute even more so, as we do at each convention, Michael Shilale Architects held its annual Library Grant Prize Giveaway! We are so grateful for everyone who entered to win but this year’s prize goes to Ms. Carol Park of Sullivan County BOCES!
